The price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,750.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Karl von Saar have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A young boy, facing right in olive-green coat, red, green and brown checked waistcoat, white shirt and white spotted bright blue tie, short fair hair; cloud and sky background in November 2001 with an auction result of GBP 7,637.50 (€ 12,153.67).
