Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A young gentleman, facing left in blue coat with black collar, yellow waistcoat with gold buttons, white shirt and black cravat by Karl von Saar was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2002. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 836.50 (€ 1,284.07). Admittedly, works by Karl von Saar have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A young boy, facing right in olive-green coat, red, green and brown checked waistcoat, white shirt and white spotted bright blue tie, short fair hair; cloud and sky background in November 2001 with an auction result of GBP 7,637.50 (€ 12,153.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A young gentleman, facing left in blue coat with black collar, yellow waistcoat with gold buttons, white shirt and black cravat von Karl von Saar kam im Dezember 2002 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 836,50 (€ 1.284,07) einen neuen Besitzer.
