Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2004 Christies in London held the auction RUSSIAN PICTURES, which included the work Ceremonial Boat With Visiting Dignitary; And Ice Mountain by Karl Ivanovich Kollman. The price achieved of GBP 2,868.00 (€ 4,125.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,400.00 – 3,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Karl Ivanovich Kollman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A military band; A peasant seated on a cart; Three Hussars; Refreshment for the horses, which sold at auction in December 2005 for GBP 9,000.00 (€ 13,063.00).
