The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,912.00 (€ 2,744.70), 59% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Karl Ivanovich Kollman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A military band; A peasant seated on a cart; Three Hussars; Refreshment for the horses in December 2005 with an auction result of GBP 9,000.00 (€ 13,063.00).

Die Arbeit A Russian country fair von Karl Ivanovich Kollman wurde im November 2003 in der Auktion Important Silver, Russian Works of Art and Paintings bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.912,00 (€ 2.744,70) und damit 59% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Karl Ivanovich Kollman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A military band; A peasant seated on a cart; Three Hussars; Refreshment for the horses im Dezember 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.000,00 (€ 13.063,00).
