Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Studie zum David by Karl Geiser. Here, the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,354.18). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Karl Geiser - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Stehender, weiblicher Akt (Doris), nach 1942, which sold at auction in September 2018 for CHF 25,000.00 (€ 22,044.40).
