Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two Horsemen With Their Horses And A Dog Near A Stable, Another Horseman Sleeping In The Background by Karel Dujardin was sold in the Old Master Paintings auction at Sothebys in Amsterdam in May 2008. The price achieved of EUR 14,650.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Karel Dujardin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Travelling Musicians in January 2008 with an auction result of USD 457,000.00 (€ 307,930.73).

Die Arbeit Two Horsemen With Their Horses And A Dog Near A Stable, Another Horseman Sleeping In The Background von Karel Dujardin wurde im Mai 2008 in der Auktion Old Master Paintings bei Sothebys in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 14.650,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Karel Dujardin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Travelling Musicians im Januar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 457.000,00 (€ 307.930,73).
