Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work Italianate Landscape With Herders And Animals Resting By A River Under A Bridge by Karel Dujardin for GBP 79,250.00 (€ 90,951.23). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Karel Dujardin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Travelling Musicians, which sold at auction in January 2008 for USD 457,000.00 (€ 307,930.73).

Im Juli 2011 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Italianate Landscape With Herders And Animals Resting By A River Under A Bridge von Karel Dujardin für GBP 79.250,00 (€ 90.951,23) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Karel Dujardin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Travelling Musicians beobachtet, die im Januar 2008 für USD 457.000,00 (€ 307.930,73) versteigert wurde.
