The work Five-Character Couplet In Running Script by Kang Youwei was auctioned at China Guardian in October last year. It achieved a price of HKD 96,000.00 (€ 12,301.99), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 60%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kang Youwei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy in May 2012 with an auction result of HKD 5,660,000.00 (€ 589,621.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Five-Character Couplet In Running Script von Kang Youwei kam im Oktober letzten Jahres bei China Guardian zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 96.000,00 (€ 12.301,99) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 60%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kang Youwei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.660.000,00 (€ 589.621,48).
