This artwork by K. M. Adimoolam achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2004. In the Indian and Southeast Asian Art Including 20th Century Indian auction, the work without title sold for USD 3,824.00 (€ 3,079.65) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by K. M. Adimoolam - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in September 2006 for USD 9,600.00 (€ 7,566.80).

Dieses Kunstwerk von K. M. Adimoolam erzielte im September 2004 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Indian and Southeast Asian Art Including 20th Century Indian wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 3.824,00 (€ 3.079,65) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von K. M. Adimoolam mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im September 2006 für USD 9.600,00 (€ 7.566,80) versteigert wurde.
