Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Terra Incongnita by K. M. Adimoolam was sold in the Indian and Southeast Asian Art including Modern and auction at Christies in New York in March 2005. It changed hands for a price of USD 4,800.00 (€ 3,701.13) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by K. M. Adimoolam - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in September 2006 for USD 9,600.00 (€ 7,566.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Terra Incongnita von K. M. Adimoolam wurde im März 2005 in der Auktion Indian and Southeast Asian Art including Modern and bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 4.800,00 (€ 3.701,13) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von K. M. Adimoolam mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im September 2006 für USD 9.600,00 (€ 7.566,80) versteigert wurde.
