Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2020 Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included the work Untitled (Tree); Untitled (Road-Side Water Trough) by K. C. S. Paniker. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,333.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by K. C. S. Paniker have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Love in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 33,600.00 (€ 49,444.67).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Tree); Untitled (Road-Side Water Trough) von K. C. S. Paniker zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.333,67) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von K. C. S. Paniker auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Love im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 33.600,00 (€ 49.444,67).
