Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Justinian Gantz could be acquired at Sothebys in London in December 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Art of Travel and Exploration auction, the work British the Governor'S Camp Near Kistnagherry, India changed hands for GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,088.92) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Justinian Gantz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Indian figures and an elephant in a street outside a European house, Madras, which sold at auction in September 2000 for GBP 4,112.50 (€ 6,881.47).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
