Auction result well in line with expectations

However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Justinian Gantz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Indian figures and an elephant in a street outside a European house, Madras, which sold at auction in September 2000 for GBP 4,112.50 (€ 6,881.47).
