In the Liberation through Expression: Outsider and Vernacular Art auction, the work Toronto Maple Leafs Vs. N.Y. Rangers, Dated 1962 changed hands for USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,654.91) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Justin McCarthy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Underwater with Fish and Coral, which sold at auction in February last year for USD 23,750.00 (€ 21,160.01).
