The work Ice Capades, 1971 by Justin McCarthy was auctioned at Christies in New York in January 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,250.00 (€ 1,964.38) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Justin McCarthy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Underwater with Fish and Coral in February last year with an auction result of USD 23,750.00 (€ 21,160.01).

Die Arbeit Ice Capades, 1971 von Justin McCarthy kam im Januar 2019 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.250,00 (€ 1.964,38) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
