Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Julius Shulman could be acquired at Bonhams in London in October this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work Case Study House #22, Pierre Koenig, Los Angeles, California changed hands for USD 4,864.00 (€ 4,602.57) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Julius Shulman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Kaufmann House, Palm Springs, 1947 in April 2010 with an auction result of USD 47,500.00 (€ 35,708.92).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Julius Shulman konnte im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Photographs wechselte die Arbeit Case Study House #22, Pierre Koenig, Los Angeles, California für USD 4.864,00 (€ 4.602,57) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Julius Shulman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Kaufmann House, Palm Springs, 1947 im April 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 35.708,92).
