Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Kaufmann House, Palm Springs, Richard Neutra, Architect by Julius Shulman was sold in the Made in CaliforniaPhotographs auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in December this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,400.00 (€ 5,785.57) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Julius Shulman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Kaufmann House, Palm Springs, 1947 in April 2010 with an auction result of USD 47,500.00 (€ 35,708.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Kaufmann House, Palm Springs, Richard Neutra, Architect von Julius Shulman wurde im Dezember diesen Jahres in der Auktion Made in CaliforniaPhotographs bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 6.400,00 (€ 5.785,57) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Julius Shulman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Kaufmann House, Palm Springs, 1947 im April 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 35.708,92).
