Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Julius Shulman could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in December this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Made in CaliforniaPhotographs auction, the work 'Lovell Residence, Richard J. Neutra' changed hands for USD 1,920.00 (€ 1,735.67) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julius Shulman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Kaufmann House, Palm Springs, 1947 in April 2010 with an auction result of USD 47,500.00 (€ 35,708.92).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Julius Shulman konnte im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Made in CaliforniaPhotographs wechselte die Arbeit 'Lovell Residence, Richard J. Neutra' für USD 1.920,00 (€ 1.735,67) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Julius Shulman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Kaufmann House, Palm Springs, 1947 im April 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 35.708,92).
