This artwork by Julius Olsson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2016. In the Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, Maritime Art, Sporting & Wildlife Art auction, the work Moonlit waters sold for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,307.26) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Julius Olsson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Golden Shore, which sold at auction in December 2008 for GBP 17,500.00 (€ 18,380.09).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Julius Olsson erzielte im Dezember 2016 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, Maritime Art, Sporting & Wildlife Art wurde die Arbeit Moonlit waters für GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.307,26) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Julius Olsson mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Golden Shore beobachtet, die im Dezember 2008 für GBP 17.500,00 (€ 18.380,09) versteigert wurde.
