This artwork by Julius Olsson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in September 2021. In the An Aesthetic Odyssey: The Peter Rose and Albert Gallichan Collection auction, the work Plymouth Pier sold for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,907.94) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Julius Olsson; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Golden Shore sold at auction in December 2008 with the realized price of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 18,380.09).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Julius Olsson erzielte im September 2021 bei Christies einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion An Aesthetic Odyssey: The Peter Rose and Albert Gallichan Collection wurde die Arbeit Plymouth Pier für GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.907,94) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.500,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Julius Olsson; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Golden Shore im Dezember 2008 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 18.380,09).
