Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Breaking waves by Julius Olsson was sold in the Victorian & British Impressionist Art auction at Christies in London in November 2011. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,188.87) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Julius Olsson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Golden Shore in December 2008 with an auction result of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 18,380.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Breaking waves von Julius Olsson wurde im November 2011 in der Auktion Victorian & British Impressionist Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.188,87) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Julius Olsson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Golden Shore im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 18.380,09).
