Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2018 Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session, which included the work His Last Dream, 29 July by Julio Larraz. It changed hands for a price of USD 112,500.00 (€ 99,355.29) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Julio Larraz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bingham at Noon, which sold at auction in May 2011 for USD 326,500.00 (€ 227,114.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2018 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit His Last Dream, 29 July von Julio Larraz zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 112.500,00 (€ 99.355,29) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Julio Larraz mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bingham at Noon beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für USD 326.500,00 (€ 227.114,64) versteigert wurde.
