Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November this year Christies in Sydney held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Tête Montserrat criant by Julio González. Here, the upper estimate of USD 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 56,700.00 (€ 51,980.20). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julio González achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Masque 'Ombre Et Lumière' in February 2011 with an auction result of GBP 4,633,250.00 (€ 5,457,580.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Christies in Sydney die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Tête Montserrat criant von Julio González zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 56.700,00 (€ 51.980,20) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Julio González erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Masque 'Ombre Et Lumière' im Februar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.633.250,00 (€ 5.457.580,86).
