Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2003 Christies in New York held the auction Post War and Contemporary Art, which included the work Operating Table (yellow) 1 by Julie Roberts. The price achieved of USD 10,157.50 (€ 6,156.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Julie Roberts have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Crime of Passion in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 79,000.00 (€ 53,785.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2003 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Operating Table (yellow) 1 von Julie Roberts zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.157,50 (€ 6.156,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Julie Roberts auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Crime of Passion im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 79.000,00 (€ 53.785,40).
