Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Julian Alden Weir could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in April 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction, the work Woman Reading changed hands for USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,847.81) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 9,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julian Alden Weir achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nassau, Bahamas in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 459,000.00 (€ 393,316.20).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Julian Alden Weir konnte im April 2013 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden.
