Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Julia Schmidt could be acquired at Phillips in London in April 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the New Now auction, the work o.T. (Glarus) changed hands for GBP 813.00 (€ 965.45) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Julia Schmidt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ohne Titel (stash) in May 2019 with an auction result of EUR 7,095.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Julia Schmidt konnte im April 2017 bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion New Now wechselte die Arbeit o.T. (Glarus) für GBP 813,00 (€ 965,45) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Julia Schmidt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ohne Titel (stash) im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 7.095,00.
