The work Alu by Jules Olitski was auctioned at Christies in New York in December last year. It achieved a price of USD 18,900.00 (€ 17,666.85), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 58%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jules Olitski achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blue Crazy in May 2021 with an auction result of USD 774,000.00 (€ 634,738.40).

Die Arbeit Alu von Jules Olitski kam im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 18.900,00 (€ 17.666,85) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 58%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jules Olitski erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Blue Crazy im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 774.000,00 (€ 634.738,40).
