The work Chinatown by Jules Eugène Pages was sold in the California Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,200.00 (€ 9,680.17), 70% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jules Eugène Pages have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sur le zinc in October 2016 with an auction result of USD 56,250.00 (€ 51,313.63).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 70 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Chinatown von Jules Eugène Pages wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion California Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 10.200,00 (€ 9.680,17) und damit 70% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jules Eugène Pages auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sur le zinc im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 51.313,63).
