This artwork by Jules de Balincourt achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in Hong Kong in June 2021. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale in Association with Poly Auction auction, the work Jet Setters Nightmare sold for HKD 1,890,000.00 (€ 205,303.00) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 650,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jules de Balincourt; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot US World Studies II sold at auction in June 2010 with the realized price of GBP 277,250.00 (€ 337,161.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jules de Balincourt erzielte im Juni 2021 bei Phillips in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale in Association with Poly Auction wurde die Arbeit Jet Setters Nightmare für HKD 1.890.000,00 (€ 205.303,00) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 650.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jules de Balincourt; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit US World Studies II im Juni 2010 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 277.250,00 (€ 337.161,81).
