Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La Vérité méconnue (Truth unacknowledged) by Aimé-Jules Dalou was sold in the Collection Jacques Ginepro, Une Vie de Sculptures auction at Sothebys in Paris in May last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 4,410.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Aimé-Jules Dalou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paysanne Française Allaitant Son Enfant in June 2020 with an auction result of EUR 188,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit La Vérité méconnue (Truth unacknowledged) von Aimé-Jules Dalou wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Collection Jacques Ginepro, Une Vie de Sculptures bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 4.410,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Aimé-Jules Dalou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paysanne Française Allaitant Son Enfant im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 188.500,00.
