This artwork by Jules Chéret achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in October 2021. In the Impressionist and Modern Art Online auction, the work Pierrot et Columbine sold for GBP 17,640.00 (€ 20,898.64) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jules Chéret - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pierrot And Columbine, which sold at auction in June 2017 for EUR 47,500.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jules Chéret erzielte im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Online wurde die Arbeit Pierrot et Columbine für GBP 17.640,00 (€ 20.898,64) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jules Chéret mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pierrot And Columbine beobachtet, die im Juni 2017 für EUR 47.500,00 versteigert wurde.
