Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2020 Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included the work Yo Nací Libre (I was Born Free) by Juan Roberto Diago. Here, the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 13,750.00 (€ 12,467.13). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Juan Roberto Diago - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in May 2016 for USD 30,000.00 (€ 26,942.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2020 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Yo Nací Libre (I was Born Free) von Juan Roberto Diago zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 13.750,00 (€ 12.467,13) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Juan Roberto Diago mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für USD 30.000,00 (€ 26.942,07) versteigert wurde.
