Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Variations On Felipe Próspero by Juan Cárdenas was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2006. The price achieved of USD 18,000.00 (€ 13,573.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Juan Cárdenas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Night and Day, which sold at auction in May 2015 for USD 40,000.00 (€ 36,383.48).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 18.000,00 (€ 13.573,64) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Juan Cárdenas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Night and Day beobachtet, die im Mai 2015 für USD 40.000,00 (€ 36.383,48) versteigert wurde.
