In March 2019 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Zhong Kui by Ju Lian. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 112,100.00 (€ 12,719.58), 40% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ju Lian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Legends Of Flowers in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 7,375,000.00 (€ 808,030.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 40 % übertroffen
Im März 2019 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Zhong Kui von Ju Lian zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 112.100,00 (€ 12.719,58) und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ju Lian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Legends Of Flowers im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 7.375.000,00 (€ 808.030,41).
