The work Flowers for the New Year by Ju Lian was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December this year. It achieved a price of HKD 75,600.00 (€ 8,747.79), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 51%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ju Lian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Legends Of Flowers in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 7,375,000.00 (€ 808,030.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 51 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Flowers for the New Year von Ju Lian wurde im Dezember diesen Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 75.600,00 (€ 8.747,79) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 51%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ju Lian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Legends Of Flowers im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 7.375.000,00 (€ 808.030,41).
