Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lost in thought by Joy Labinjo was auctioned at Phillips in London in October this year. The price achieved of GBP 22,860.00 (€ 26,249.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Joy Labinjo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work No Wahala in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 150,000.00 (€ 176,211.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lost in thought von Joy Labinjo kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 22.860,00 (€ 26.249,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joy Labinjo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit No Wahala im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 150.000,00 (€ 176.211,36).
