Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Mum, Toni and I by Joy Labinjo was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in London in July 2021. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 16,380.00 (€ 19,208.95). Admittedly, works by Joy Labinjo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work No Wahala in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 150,000.00 (€ 176,211.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Mum, Toni and I von Joy Labinjo wurde im Juli 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 16.380,00 (€ 19.208,95) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Joy Labinjo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit No Wahala im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 150.000,00 (€ 176.211,36).
