Admittedly, works by Josephus Augustus Knip have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Maison de Buffon in the Jardin de Plantes, Paris in November 2012 with an auction result of EUR 75,400.00.

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 8.365,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 39 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Josephus Augustus Knip auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Maison de Buffon in the Jardin de Plantes, Paris im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 75.400,00.
