Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2015 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters & 19th CenturyArt - (including Dutch Impressionism), which included the work A Feast By Full Moon Near A Village Inn by Josephus Augustus Knip. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,500.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Josephus Augustus Knip achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Maison de Buffon in the Jardin de Plantes, Paris in November 2012 with an auction result of EUR 75,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2015 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters & 19th CenturyArt - (including Dutch Impressionism) durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Feast By Full Moon Near A Village Inn von Josephus Augustus Knip zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 3.500,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Josephus Augustus Knip erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Maison de Buffon in the Jardin de Plantes, Paris im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 75.400,00.
