This artwork by Josephine Halvorson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in Online Auction in May 2020. In the Shaping the Surface: Online Auction auction, the work Shutter #3 sold for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 9,713.46) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Josephine Halvorson; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Slats sold at auction in November 2019 with the realized price of USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,344.04).
