Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Le parvis de l'église Saint-Michel à Menton by Joseph Inguimberty was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Art and Southeast Asian Art auction at Bonhams in New York in May this year. The price achieved of HKD 128,000.00 (€ 15,342.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Inguimberty achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Hamac (The Hammock) in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 7,540,000.00 (€ 889,989.90).

Die Arbeit Le parvis de l'église Saint-Michel à Menton von Joseph Inguimberty wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art and Southeast Asian Art bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 128.000,00 (€ 15.342,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joseph Inguimberty erzielen.
