Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2021 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 20th and 21st Century Art Morning Session, which included the work Femmes Tonkinoises Dans La Rizière (Tonkinese Women In The Rice Field) by Joseph Inguimberty. The price achieved of HKD 1,750,000.00 (€ 184,988.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,200,000.00 – 2,200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Joseph Inguimberty have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Le Hamac (The Hammock) in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 7,540,000.00 (€ 889,989.90).
