It achieved a price of USD 20,312.50 (€ 18,311.10), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 35%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by József Csáky achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Figure Dite Figure Abstraite in October 2020 with an auction result of EUR 214,200.00.

Die Arbeit Le Sommeil von József Csáky kam im März letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 20.312,50 (€ 18.311,10) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 35%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von József Csáky erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Figure Dite Figure Abstraite im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 214.200,00.
