Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La mère et l'enfant by József Csáky was sold in the The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in March last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 25,312.50 (€ 22,818.44) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by József Csáky have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Figure Dite Figure Abstraite in October 2020 with an auction result of EUR 214,200.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit La mère et l'enfant von József Csáky wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 25.312,50 (€ 22.818,44) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von József Csáky auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Figure Dite Figure Abstraite im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 214.200,00.
