The work La lionne by József Csáky was sold in the The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in March last year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 24,062.50 (€ 21,691.61), 60% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by József Csáky have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Figure Dite Figure Abstraite in October 2020 with an auction result of EUR 214,200.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit La lionne von József Csáky wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 24.062,50 (€ 21.691,61) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von József Csáky auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Figure Dite Figure Abstraite im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 214.200,00.
