Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer, which included the work Figure abstraite debout by József Csáky. The price achieved of USD 15,300.00 (€ 13,792.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by József Csáky achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Figure Dite Figure Abstraite in October 2020 with an auction result of EUR 214,200.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer durch, in der auch die Arbeit Figure abstraite debout von József Csáky zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 15.300,00 (€ 13.792,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von József Csáky erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Figure Dite Figure Abstraite im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 214.200,00.
