Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Moorhen by Joseph Crawhall was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2012. The price achieved of GBP 46,850.00 (€ 57,714.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Joseph Crawhall - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Mallard Rising, which sold at auction in November 2021 for GBP 100,800.00 (€ 118,348.68).
