In the A Century of Art: The Gerald Fineberg Collection Part I auction, the work Untitled (Medici Variant) changed hands for USD 567,000.00 (€ 532,194.48) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 600,000.00 – 800,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Cornell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Medici Slot Machine in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 7,781,000.00 (€ 5,704,545.45).

Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Joseph Cornell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Medici Slot Machine im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.781.000,00 (€ 5.704.545,45).
