Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A young lady, facing right in lace-bordered black dress, wearing a portrait miniature of her husband suspended from a gold chain around her neck, short curling dark hair by Joseph Boze was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2000. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,057.50 (€ 1,728.44) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Boze achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait De Jean-Conrad Hottinguer (1764-1841) in June 2009 with an auction result of EUR 46,350.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A young lady, facing right in lace-bordered black dress, wearing a portrait miniature of her husband suspended from a gold chain around her neck, short curling dark hair von Joseph Boze kam im November 2000 bei Christies in London zur Auktion.
