Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2007 Christies in London held the auction Important Portrait Miniatures and Gold Boxes, which included the work Johanna Catherina Berck (1778-1847) In Spotted White Dress, Gold Necklace, Drop-Pearl Earring, Curling Hair by Joseph Boze. The price achieved of GBP 840.00 (€ 1,246.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700.00 – 900.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Joseph Boze achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait De Jean-Conrad Hottinguer (1764-1841) in June 2009 with an auction result of EUR 46,350.00.
